Hollyween Home and Business Decorating Contest

 

Registration is now closed for Hollyween 2017.  

a map of 40 locations will be available on October 7th!

 

Get your neighborhood and the business community psyched for a little competition! Participate in the first annual “Hollyween” Home and Business Decorating Contest”.

By participating you will be helping to make Mount Holly the “Hollyween” capital of the WORLD!!! AAAHHH!

Winners will receive bragging rights, gift certificates to downtown Mount Holly businesses and a “Best of Mount Holly" award.

Eligibility Requirements:

·Open to all residents and businesses within Mount Holly Township’s boundaries.

·All homes and businesses must be fully decorated by 4PM Sunday October 7, 2017 (the day of Mount Holly’s Notorious “Witches Ball”) and stay decorated through Sunday October 29th (Sunday before Halloween).

Contest Information:

·Registration is FREE. Please register early. The form must be completed and submitted in order to be qualified to participate.

·Registration deadline is Saturday, September 30th at Midnight.

·Categories for awards will be:

   Best Scariest

   Best Traditional

   Best Artistic

   Judge’s Favorite

   "Best of” for a Business

 

·Decorations need to be outside of your home or business but within your yard.  special lighting, musical effects and over the top decorations are encouraged. Remember that small details like lighting pumpkins and playing spooky music will make the experience for everyone more spooktacular!

·We do allow families to combine homes into one entry - so please make sure you are clear on your registration form if you want to be judged as a group. For instance (for e.g.-Young Hall balconies or duplex units entered as one entry)

·Judging will take place from 6PM Friday evening to Sunday evenings at 9PM each weekend between October 7th through 29th. This way judges can come back for a second (or third) look and your neighbors and visitors will be in awe - all month long for “Hollyween”

·All entries are judged on originality and creativity.

·Winners will be contacted online and/or by phone and will be posted on Mill Race Village Arts & Preservation’s Facebook page www.facebook.com/MRVArtsandPreservation and the Witches Ball Facebook page www.facebook.com/thewitchesballmountholly.
